Milos, Greece Boat Tour

“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

As summer is quickly approaching, we are reminded of an Around Milos Island boat tour we took with Milos Adventures.  During a trip to Greece, we decided to visit the small island in Agean Sea.  It is part of the Cyclades group and absolutely stunning.  Since much of the island is not accessible by car, catamaran or boat charters are a great way to visit all of the coves. Our Milos, Greece Boat Tour was one of our favorite activities during our trip to Greece!

The boat departed in the port from the town of Adamas.  The town is much more relaxed than the famed Santorini Island, which we found to be quite crowded.

On the way out, the water was a deep blue color.  We passed through several fishing villages with colorful buildings and homes.  There is no car access so residents use boats as their means of transportation.

As we continued on our Milos, Greece boat tour, the water showed high contrast against the beautiful landscape.

This little cove was our first swimming stop on the tour.

The next stop was our favorite of the day.  We had never seen water as vibrant blue as this location!  It was stunning!!  Luckily we had time for a swim and we couldn’t help ourselves to dive right in!

The next cove presented a royal blue color that was stunning as well!

Next up, the water turned a beautiful turquoise blue/green color that was yet another shade to add to the tour!

By the way, if you don’t have a pair of the Vibram’s Five Fingers, I’d highly recommend! We take these shoes anytime we have a water activity during our travels. They are light, convenient and have lasted over the years.

The final stop on our Milos, Greece boat tour was called Kleftiko.  The unique rock formations offer as a contrast to the vibrant water which makes for great picture taking!

Overall it was a perfect way to the spend the day!  The boat served snacks, full lunch and the Ouzo was flowing!  It gave us such an appreciation for the beauty of the island from the water! The tour lasted approximately 8 hours so it was a fantastic, relaxing way to see the real beauty of the island from the water.

We cannot wait to return to Milos Island and wished we would have planned more than 2 nights! If you are visiting, we’d highly recommend a stay at the Miland Suites during your trip!
